Anchors and weights. Two words that serve the same purpose, however they are very much different biblically. Last night as I was reading scriptures, God placed these two words in my thoughts. It made me think about how each one serves it's own purpose according to God's word. As a Christian, we look to the Anchor as Hope. God is our Hope in all things. As I reflect on that word, I think about other things it represents. We find peace and it is a foundation. We are God's vessels. Hebrews 6:19 says, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain." God wants us to remember that we are to hold onto our hope in him. He wants us to be encouraged and rest in that assurance that all his promises will come true for us. We will inherit the promises of God. When we look at the word Weight, we think of sin.
